For more than five years now, the term "digital transformation" has been appearing in the business world. It is an expression that has become popular and is here to stay, and this is no coincidence: more than a discipline, it is a process linked to the evolution of society and the market, which chooses to equip itself with solutions from digital environments because of their efficiency, convenience, and lower costs.

For companies, therefore, it is not a decision of "to transform or not to transform," but rather of continuing to operate in ways that are valid for the markets they target or becoming irrelevant. Most highly qualified managers and employees have seen it this way in recent years. But reality is far from the desire for effective business transformation to make them vital and unavoidable elements of the realignment of factors resulting from the new rules of the game.

This is not the first time that BRAINTRUST has addressed this uneven evolution of companies, nor will it be the last. On this occasion, we are doing so with the help of the latest study published on the subject by a company specializing in the adoption of platforms to assist in Digital Transformation: Ahead. Based on almost 300 surveys sent to companies with more than 1,000 employees (based in the United States), they have obtained a series of data that we thought it appropriate to translate into the always understandable visual language of infographics. The following are some of the most strikinginsights from this study.
