This I Business Travel Monitor has been made possible thanks to sponsorship from American Express, BCD Travel, Europcar, Iberia, Iryo, Sercotel, and Tripcare, and will be unveiled at the IV International Summit of AEGVE in Seville this week, on November 4, 5, and 6.

For Juan Manuel Fernández, President of AEGVE: "We are very pleased to launch the I Business Travel Monitor, obtaining not only a complete snapshot of the Spanish market, but also an objective analysis of the present and future, which will allow the entire industry to evolve towards a new era, where business travel is and will continue to be a fundamental tool for doing business for companies in our country. With this forward-looking approach, no one is better suited than BRAINTRUST, a leading consulting firm in the tourism sector, to help us in this endeavor thanks to its extensive knowledge, experience, and data analytics capabilities, which translate into business vision.

At AEGVE, we continue to support the transformation of the role of travel managers, who play a particularly important role in an ever-changing environment, and we will continue to offer a proposal in line with our mission to inform, educate, and train.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors who have made this project possible. The aim is to continue this initiative on an annual basis, providing the industry with a comprehensive overview and serving as a fundamental source of regular information.

The first Business Travel Monitor report, based on the survey responses, forecasts that companies expect to grow by 2.4% next year, while their business travel budgets are set to increase by 3.6% in 2025, demonstrating once again the importance of investing in this area, supporting and promoting the growth and internationalization of our country's business fabric.

The launch of the first Business Travel Monitor will take place this week, on November 4, 5, and 6 in Seville, as part of the fourth AEGVE International Summit, which will bring together more than 250 attendees. The summit will feature highly interesting sessions with top-level speakers, networking opportunities, working groups, and recreational activities, creating a space for reflection, commitment, and action.

For Ángel García Butragueño, Director of Consulting at BRAINTRUST:"It is an honor and a privilege for us to contribute to generating valuable information for the tourism industry, and specifically for the business travel sector, where I come from, as a contribution to an ecosystem that has been undergoing transformation for several years now and will continue to evolve to adapt to new times, becoming an essential bastion for promoting the revitalization, progress, and contribution of our companies.

Travel managers have a key role to play in this process, one that will continue to grow over time. To this end, they need to enhance their skills and knowledge, which will enable them to take on an extremely important role within their companies, who will ask them to ensure the economic sustainability of the model, the impact of travel on the environment, and the influence of social sustainability on the business.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank AEGVE for trusting us to carry out the Business Travel Monitor in Spain, and the sponsors for making it possible. The annual editions begin today, but will continue over time to be a key data tool that can be translated into future business strategies, promoting joint work and aspiring to build a more sustainable, resilient, prosperous, and purposeful industry.
