Joaquín Guirao Sagi-Vela formally joined BRAINTRUST on March 1 as Associate Director. Kiko (as he likes to be called) has extensive experience in business and entrepreneurship and has been involved in some of the most innovative projects in the national digital sector.  

"I have been following Kiko's career for many years and always thought that we should work together. It was last September, coinciding with changes at Designit, when the stars aligned and the vision of having Kiko among our ranks became a reality," says José Luis Ruiz, one of the partners at BRAINTRUST. Kiko Guirao began his adventure in the world of design in the 1990s as managing director at Teknoland, one of Spain's first digital agencies, where they designed projects for the internet and nobody—not even themselves—knew what a digital product was. Then, in 2001, he co-founded DNX with a focus on usability and interaction design. He grew and developed the company into a major innovation and strategic design consultancy, culminating his global vision by merging with other European companies to create Designit, one of Europe's leading players in the strategic design sector.Strategic Design, where he has been for the last 22 years. 

"I believe that building on data is an approach to problems that the industry is in dire need of right now." Guirao responds when we ask him what caught his attention most about BRAINTRUST. "The company relies on data both to make design proposals and to suggest ways for multinationals to prevent customer churn. I think BRAINTRUST's value proposition is something that is sorely needed in all sectors. It's funny, but for years, in my previous roles, it's an approach I've advocated, although it was difficult to implement because the necessary profiles are different. I think the profiles at BRAINTRUST are very well suited, which is why I believe we can develop new types of projects by bringing this approach to both large consulting firms and multinationals that need quick results in today's rapidly changing environment."
